Tractor Themed Birthday Celebrations for Michael

It was a birthday celebration with a difference for Broadmad rest home resident Michael Mercer, who enjoyed his birthday surrounded by tractors!

Michael has a huge lifelong interest in tractors and has lots of tractor themed items in his room, and he is a regular subscriber to a monthly magazine on tractors as well!

To celebrate Michael’s birthday on 22nd August the home arranged as a “complete surprise” a collection of working tractors coming to visit him which he absolutely loved.

Michael also received a message back one of the village local’s saying that her son works for Rennway agricultural contractors and some of her family also owns tractors, and that they would love to help to make Michaels wish come true.

The result was 4 tractors who did a “do a drive past” the home and then park in the carpark for Michael and a few more our male residents who joined in the special occasion.
