New ‘Caroline Quentin’ Rose Launched in Support of St Peter’s Hospice
A new rose has been launched by garden experts Thompson & Morgan, named in honour of actress, presenter and passionate gardener Caroline Quentin, and in support of Bristol charity St Peter’s Hospice.
The ‘Caroline Quentin’ rose was officially unveiled at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026, and is an elegant, richly fragrant floribunda with soft pink double blooms, glossy dark green foliage and an intense floral perfume. It has been bred for modern gardens and flowers repeatedly throughout the season.
Inspired by Caroline’s lifelong love of gardening and her creative platform, CQ Gardens, the rose reflects her signature style – romantic, artistic and deeply connected to the joy of outdoor living. Caroline said: “I am chuffed to bits to have the prettiest, pinkest, sweetest perfumed rose I’ve ever seen, named after me. To think this gorgeous rose will carry my name into the future is incredibly moving and such an honour.”
For every full-priced rose sold £1 will be donated directly to St Peter’s Hospice, a charity that holds special significance for Caroline. Funds raised will help provide the vital care and support the Hospice gives to individuals and families facing life-limiting illness in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
St Peter’s Hospice head of fundraising, Kathryn Cheshire, said: “We’re delighted to be part of the launch of this beautiful new rose. Partnerships like this help us continue providing compassionate care and support to patients and families facing the hardest of times. Thank you to Thompson & Morgan and to Caroline Quentin, who has been a great supporter of ours over many years.
“Every purchase will not only brighten gardens but also help make a real difference to the people in our community who need our support. We’re incredibly grateful that a percentage of sales will be donated to St Peter’s Hospice, helping us continue our vital work.”
The Caroline Quentin rose will be on display at the Hospice gardens, which are an important part of the site at Brentry, crafted to be a therapeutic place for patients and their families.
The Hospice Open Gardens event on Sunday 7 June provides an ideal opportunity to see the rose in bloom and purchase one in support of the charity.
