Care Company Owners Join School Pupils For Entrepreneurial Ideas Session
The founders of one Advinia Healthcare joined forces with children at a Middlesex Primary School to discuss their sustainable business ideas.
Dr Sanjeev Kanoria and his wife Sangita visited Dormers Wells Primary School in Southall to see the incredible work the children were doing as part of the 8Billionideas programme.
The couple, who donate to a variety of schools and orphanages as part of their charity outreach, were deeply impressed by the ideas shared by the pupils and their passion for sustainability.
Dr Kanoria said: “It was fantastic to spend time with the children at Dormers Wells and to see first-hand the incredible work they are doing for this project.
“Supporting children and educational initiatives is very important to us, and it was wonderful to see the intelligence, creativity and teamwork in the class.
“Young people are the future, so it’s inspiring to see young minds thinking innovatively about sustainability and business ideas for the future.”
During the visit, Sanjeev and Sangita spent time with small groups of children working on team ideas together. At the end, they presented every child with a goody bag that included stationery supplies to support their creativity, learning, and future ideas.
Dormers Wells is one of the schools supported by charity Akshaya Patra UK, to which the Kanorias regularly donate. The charity helps disadvantaged children stay in school and funds free school meals during their ‘Empower Hour’ initiative, which provides hot vegetarian meals and extra learning opportunities.
Radhika Iyer, Akshaya Patra UK’s Director, Communications & Supporter Engagement, said: “It was such a pleasure to join Sanjeev and Sangita at Dormers Wells School and to see them spend meaningful time with the children. I was truly touched by the genuine love, care and compassion they showed. It is always so important for us to bring our donors as close as possible to the children they help uplift, and the Kanorias are wonderful examples of that. It is rare to see such commitment, and we are deeply grateful.
“What stood out most was the real impact of our Empower Hour programme – how something as simple as a nutritious meal and an extra hour of support can transform a child’s confidence, focus, and opportunity to learn. With demand growing rapidly across schools, it’s clear that programmes like this need greater support to reach the many more children who stand to benefit.”
