Team Members Take on Skydive to Raise Money for Alzheimer’s Society
Two carers at Lady Jane Court Care Home in Leicester are taking fundraising to new heights.
Senior Carers at Lady Jane Court Care Home in Leicester, Sheena Hastings and Jess Wingfield, are challenging themselves to a skydive on 20th September to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Alzheimer’s Society is the leading dementia charity in the UK. They offer vital support to those who need it, fund groundbreaking research, and campaign to improve the experience of those affected by dementia.
Justyna Bartyska, Client Liaison Manager at Lady Jane Court Care Home, said,
“We are all very proud of their courage and commitment and wish them the best of luck as Sheena and Jess take this leap for such an important cause on Saturday, 20th September in Nottingham.”
Lady Jane Court Care Home offers both residential and dementia care, enabling residents to live with comfort, dignity, and respect. Jess and Sheena work directly with people living with dementia and want to make a real difference to the lives of those affected by the condition.
Sheena Hastings, Senior Carer at Lady Jane Court Care Home, stated,
“I am so excited for the skydive later this month. The nerves are setting in now that the date is approaching, but I am so proud of myself.”
Jess Wingfield, Senior Carer at Lady Jane Court Care Home, said,
“I am really looking forward to completing the skydive. I can see daily how dementia affects not only our residents but also their loved ones. I am incredibly happy that Sheena and I get to support Alzheimer’s Society.”
