Surrey Care Group Books Celebrity Host To Recognise Workforce At Internal Awards Ceremony

A luxury care group with residences throughout Surrey is set to host its annual ‘Superhero Awards’ for staff members, highlighting the outstanding work that its care staff does throughout the year – alongside a special celebrity host.

Care group CHD Living is set to host its very own internal awards ceremony, where care workers who have gone above and beyond will be recognised and rewarded.

At the heart of this year’s event stands the renowned choreographer and television personality, Arlene Phillips. Adding some more glamour to the ceremony, Arlene will join forces with the Drag Queen, Ms Caera Lott, to co-host and present the awards – offering recognition to the healthcare heroes who shape the landscape of compassionate caregiving.

Committed to recognising exceptional talent and dedication, CHD Living’s internal awards ceremony aims to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes within its workforce. Care workers who have exemplified commitment, compassion, and innovation in their service to both their team and the broader community will be celebrated and rewarded for their contributions.

Receiving a staggering 900 nominations for the Superhero Awards, a remarkable feat considering its approximate 800-strong workforce, the gala will feature 18 categories – each spotlighting the contributions of CHD Living’s staff across various areas of care and service. From ‘Chef of the Year’, ‘Admin Support of the Year’, and ‘Team Leader of the Year’, right through to ‘Rising Star of the Year’, ‘Newcomer of the Year’, and ‘Therapy Team Member of the Year’, there is plenty of opportunity for committed staff to be recognised.

Embracing an 80s theme, the evening will pay homage to Brownscombe Care Residences, CHD Living’s inaugural care home, celebrating its forthcoming 40th anniversary. This throwback theme promises a vibrant atmosphere, transporting care staff on a nostalgic journey through the iconic era, and commemorating the legacy of Brownscombe as a cornerstone of CHD Living’s history.

Shaleeza Hasham, a Director of CHD Living, said: “The Superhero Awards serve as a stage for our remarkable individuals to take their well-deserved bow, with their acts of kindness and commitment having been truly awe-inspiring to witness throughout the year. We want to ensure these everyday heroes are being celebrated, shining a light on the profound impact and tireless commitment they demonstrate day in and day out, often in the quietest and most intimate moments.”
