Shining a Light on Dementia Care Innovation for World Alzheimer’s Month
In honour of World Alzheimer’s Month this September, Care England is highlighting the outstanding contributions of its members in supporting individuals living with dementia across care homes in the UK. As the leading representative body for independent care providers, Care England is dedicated to promoting best practices and innovations that enhance the quality of life for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Throughout the month, we will shine a light on the care homes nationwide that are implementing creative and compassionate approaches to ensure that residents with dementia receive the highest standards of care. From person-centred care strategies to the integration of advanced technologies, care providers are continually finding new and innovative ways to enrich the lives of those in their care.
Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive of Care England, commented: “Dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, touches the lives of many residents in care homes across the country. During World Alzheimer’s Month, we have the opportunity to highlight the exceptional work being done by care homes to support individuals living well with dementia. This month is not only about raising awareness but also about celebrating the significant progress made in dementia care and the dedication of those who make a difference every day.”
Care England remains committed to showcasing the tireless efforts and positive impact of its members on dementia care. For more information on the inspiring initiatives being undertaken by care providers, please visit our News and Press page throughout September.
