New Home Manager Appointed at Hampton Grange & Gwen Walford Nursing Homes

Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford Nursing Homes have announced the appointment of our new Home Manager, Rebecca Protheroe! Rebecca was warmly welcomed by the team, including the interim manager, Trish, at a delightful buffet lunch where she had the chance to meet the staff team, residents, and their families. This warm reception is just the beginning of the positive impact Rebecca is set to bring to the community.

Rebecca brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for resident care to her new role.

Beginning in a Forensic Rehabilitation Unit, Rebecca managed complex cases and developed care plans. She conducted risk assessments, honing her ability to provide compassionate and comprehensive care in even the most challenging environments.

She then made significant contributions at Awakn Clinics, pioneering psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy treatments for addiction. This innovative experience was followed by a focus on care home management, particularly with residents dealing with long-term functional mental health conditions. Most recently, Rebecca managed a care home in Hereford, further solidifying her commitment to creating nurturing and supportive environments for the older generation.

In her new role as Home Manager, Rebecca aims to build on the strong foundations already established at Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford. “I am deeply committed to enriching the quality of life for our residents and strengthening our ties within the local community,” says Rebecca. “I am eager to lead our homes toward continued excellence, ensuring every resident feels valued and cared for.”
