LuxuryCheshire Care Home Crowned National Champions in Two Prestigious Awards

Staff and residents at a state-of-the-art care home in Congleton are celebrating after being crowned national champions twice in the space of a week in both The Care Home Awards 2022 and Family Business of the Year Awards 2022.

Priesty Fields Care Home, which opened its doors in November 2021, won ‘Best for Architecture or Interior Design’ and ‘Best New Care Home’ during The Care Home Awards’ annual showpiece ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London.

The family-run care home also took home gold at the Family Business of the Year Awards for 2022, winning the prestigious ‘Essence of Family Business’ accolade, which was one of just eight national awards up for grabs. Priesty Fields also finished as runners-up in the ‘Health & Wellness’ award category.

Founded by Family Business United, the Family Business of the Year Awards are an annual celebration of the UK family business sector, recognising the diversity of family firms across the country and celebrating the contribution that they make. While The Care Home Awards are an annual benchmark of excellence and innovation for care home management, operations and delivery, celebrating the business of owning and running care homes in the UK.

Commenting on the brace of victories, Saagar Sodha, Business Director at Priesty Fields Care Home, said:
“Just to be recognised on a national scale is a magnificent achievement, but twice in the space of a week is something none of us could ever have expected. As a family-run business, we can reassure residents and their families that we are small enough to care, but big enough to provide security and stability. Strong family values and maintaining healthy relationships have been instilled in us from a very young age by Bharat, the founder of Handsale. Caring for our loved ones is the most important thing in our lives. We have taken those values and that passion for caring and put them into our design and caring ethos at Priesty Fields.”

He continued: “With the family members involved in the day-to-day running of the business, we try to create a family feeling in our care homes whereby the residents and staff are an extension of the family. On behalf of myself, Rishi, Barrett, Bindu and the rest of the Handsale family, we are extremely grateful to have won these prestigious awards.”
