Four Generations Get Together At Nottinghamshire Home To Celebrate Residents 100th Birthday

Four generations got together to celebrate the birthday of a resident at a Nottingham home.

Doris Parker lives at MHA The Herons and celebrated her 100th birthday with a special party attended by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The gallery at the home was decorated with birthday banners and balloons.

Doris, an avid gardener, was treated to two birthday cakes, one made by her daughter Julie and the other was prepared by one of the Senior Carers, which was garden themed.

The home provides residential care for 39 residents.

Claire Belshaw, administration manager said:

“During the day Doris went out for lunch to her son’s before coming back to us in the evening.

“The day was beautiful, the family set up the space with balloons, banners and provided a wonderful spread.

“Doris was very pleased to see all 20 members of her family and there were four generations who came to her party.

“She felt very lucky to have two birthday cakes and her family made a real fuss of her.

“She had a wonderful day and thanked us all by giving us a slice of cake each.

“The telegram from the king was another highlight and the family were very impressed with how the day went.”
