Care Home In Ipswich Launches Free Lunch Club For Over 65s In The Local Community

Avocet Court Care Home in Ipswich is launching the launch of their latest venture aimed at building new links with neighbours and the local community – the Avocet Over 65s Lunch Club.

Starting on Wednesday, March 6th, and continuing every first Wednesday of the month thereafter, the home in Monmouth Close will be opening its doors to the local community for a special treat.

Led by Head Chef, Kelvin, the lunch club promises a delicious home-cooked roast lunch and a scrumptious dessert.

But Avocet Over 65s Lunch Club is about more than just food—it’s about fostering connections and companionship. Sometimes it can be tough if you find yourself alone, which is why Avocet Court is extending a warm invitation to all those who may be seeking some friendly faces and a welcoming environment.

Kelvin encourages everyone, saying, “Don’t stay cooped up at home—come join us for lunch, laughs, and maybe even make some new friends along the way.”

“And here’s the best part: lunch is free for all our guests, as a gesture of support to those who may be feeling the pinch of living expenses or simply seeking a bit of joy in their week.”
