100th Birthday Celebrations For Resident At Nursing Home
A 100th birthday party was held at a leading care provider’s nursing home in Wellington, Telford, on Tuesday for resident Marian and her family.
Morris Care Centre hosted a special party for Marian Williams as she reached her 100th birthday. Fellow residents and members of staff joined Marian and her family as they raised a glass and enjoyed a slice of the delicious birthday cake baked by Head Chef, Jackie.
Lively and professional entertainment was a highlight at the party. Imogen and Brook, both 14 and from The Arts Centre Telford (TACT), performed a number of West End classics which everyone enjoyed. Wellington’s ‘Chief Ale Taster’ and his ‘Wench’ also visited the Nursing Home to perform at the celebrations.
Social Life Coordinator, Paula, said: “It’s so heart-warming to share a resident’s 100th birthday with them. To be able to throw a party in her honour and invite her family and the local community makes it even more rewarding!”
“We have a busy activity schedule here and we try to knit in special events like this when we can. It’s all a part of our person-centred care offering and ensuring we go above and beyond for our residents.”
