The Grange Care Home Residents ‘One Voice Choir’ Put On Top Community Performance

GrangeTalented residents at The Grange care home in Wickford, Essex, put on a fantastic show with their choir at their local church hall on Friday raising £156.23 for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund charity.

With a full audience that packed out St Catherine’s Church Hall in Southend Road, Wickford, the well-practised One Voice Choir group sung beautifully together in front of their family, friends and members of the local community who had come along to watch the show specially. Mayor of Basildon, Councillor David Dadds, was also in attendance.

The One Voice Choir was inspired and set up by Runwood Homes Wellbeing Lead at The Grange, Catherine Sahadevan, who is passionate about maintaining a meaningful and stimulating activities programme supporting residents, many of whom are living with dementia. Catherine and the team at The Grange have increased motivation, purposeful direction, encouraged learning new skills and installed confidence in residents by creating One Voice Choir.
