Swindon Care Home Hosts Sold-Out Pamper Evening To Raise Funds For Hospice Care

Willowbrook View care home in Swindon recently hosted a luxurious ‘Pamper Evening’ for the local community featuring an expert team of beauticians, stylists, and facial therapists offering their services. Organised in partnership with Prospect Hospice in Swindon to raise money for palliative care, the event quickly sold-out and made £340 for the organisation.

The evening brought people from across Swindon together to unwind in style. Guests were treated to indulgent beauty treatments including manicures, hairstyling, and facials. The home’s on-site team of chefs also prepared gourmet snacks, cakes, and bubbly champagne for the event, with one participant describing it as “like a five-star retreat”.

The total funds raised were presented to Prospect Hospice at a special cheque ceremony on Friday by Emily Locke, Events Manager at Willowbrook View who helped arrange the event. She said:

“It was a pleasure to support such a worthy cause with our Pamper Evening for Prospect Hospice. The feedback we’ve received has been very positive, and it’s clear that the event had a meaningful impact. We’d like to extend our thanks to all the talented pamper therapists, our guests, and the volunteers from the charity who helped make the evening a success.”

Prospect Hospice has been offering free end-of-life care to people in Swindon, Marlborough, and surrounding areas for over 40 years. The charity receives only limited funding from government – meaning it relies heavily on the generosity of the community to operate.

Liv Butler, General Manager at Willowbrook View, says: “We are incredibly proud of how successful the Pamper Evening was. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and the support from our guests, beauty therapists, and volunteers was heart-warming. Events like this are about more than pampering – they help us shine a light on the importance of hospice care and the pressing need to support these services.”

Kelly Dennis, a Facial Therapist who runs Glamour Aesthetics, also commented:
“I absolutely loved being part of the pamper evening at Willowbrook View. It was such a special event, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and filled with genuine joy… The guests were so lovely to treat, and it was heart-warming to see how much they appreciated the little moments of care and attention. I left feeling genuinely uplifted!”

Guests at the event described it as “uplifting,” “beautifully run,” and a “testament to how care homes can bring people together.” Beauty therapists who donated their time also said they were “honoured to be part of such a welcoming, well-organised event.”
