Stoke-On-Trent Marketing Agency Donates £10k Of Services To Hospice

Staffordshire-based creative communications agency Purple Sprout has collected an award for donating £10,000 of its services to a hospice.

The agency was given a silver Corporate Partnership Award as part of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice’s annual business awards.

Purple Sprout has donated £10,000 worth of services to the hospice over the last 12 months, including print and design work, social media training, volunteering and fundraising at events such as Bring a Pound, the annual Dougie Mac Golf Day and the Moonlight Walk.

This year’s Dougie Mac Business Awards included new categories such as Commercial Fundraising Excellence, Contributions to Volunteering and a Supplier Excellence Award. The event, which took place via Twitter due to poor weather conditions, also included presentations of bronze, silver, gold and platinum Corporate Partnership awards.

Companies that raised between £5,000 and £9,999 in 2017 were awarded the bronze award; silver awards went to those who raised £10,000 to £14,999; gold was awarded to organisations that generated £15,000 to £19,999, while platinum awards were presented to those who contributed £20,000 or more.

Mandy Machin, communications manager for Purple Sprout, said: “We’re happy to help such a fantastic local charity that means so much to so many people. By donating our professional services, we can take some of the pressure off the charity and allow the Dougie Mac to focus on providing quality care. We look forward to working more with the Dougie Mac this year.”
