Admirals Reach Residents Take a Walk for a Good Cause, Raising £1,374 for Alzheimer’s Society

Around 20 residents from Admirals Reach took part in the annual Memory Walk, alongside members of the care home team, family members and friends.

The group set off from the car park at Admirals Reach before making their way to nearby Admirals Park, with residents supported throughout the walk using wheelchairs and walking frames.

With the weather on their side, the group enjoyed getting out into the local community while raising money for a cause that is particularly meaningful to many of those at the care home.

Armed with collection buckets, the team welcomed donations on the day, while further funds were raised through the care home’s JustGiving page. A resident’s family also helped boost the fundraising total, alongside money raised through the sale of Alzheimer’s Society pins.

Together, the efforts have raised £1,374 for the Alzheimer’s Society – an incredible achievement and a fantastic reflection of the generosity of residents, relatives, staff and the local community.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have raised £1,374 for the Alzheimer’s Society. It was a fantastic day, and we are so grateful to everyone who took part, donated and helped us reach such an incredible total.”
