Bruce Eastwood catering manager said:
“It’s nice to get recognition for the work we do.
“To be up against over 100 care homes throughout Staffordshire and parts of the West Midlands is a great achievement for us.
“Due to my own personal experience, I understand the importance of making sure residents are comfortable with the food, which also helps in understanding their needs.
“We take great pride in modifying meals to ensure our residents have no issues and are able to easily chew their meals.
“We focus on soft and bite size diets as well as liquid/puree diets.
“The feedback we received from the SALT team was very promising, they have mentioned to us a number of times that our methods are used as examples for other homes, which again makes us all very proud.”
