Signature at Coombe Hill Manor Supports Kingston Hospital with £3,200 Donation for Tranquil Space

Signature at Coombe Hill Manor, a care home based in Kingston Upon Thames, made a meaningful contribution to the local community by sponsoring a Tranquil Space at Kingston Hospital with a donation of £3,200.

Following the donation, Coombe Hill Manor’s General Manager, Sonya, along with Client Liaison Managers Mark and Monika, were invited by Kingston Hospital Charity Fundraising Manager Rupert to visit the newly created room. The visit offered them the opportunity to meet the dedicated team on the ward and witness first-hand the impact of their support.

The Tranquil Space, located on the Cambridge Ward, which specialises in trauma and orthopaedic care, is designed to enhance the patient experience through calming design and aesthetics. One of the standout features is the ceiling-suspended artwork, providing patients with soothing visuals that promote relaxation. Other thoughtful additions include personalised sensory elements such as diffusers and a radio, enabling patients to create a calming atmosphere tailored to their needs.

During their visit, the Signature at Coombe Hill Manor team spoke to a patient, Maria, who shared: “it’s a really great addition to the ward that helps improve my mood.”

Signature at Coombe Hill Manor General Manager Sonya reflected on the experience:
“We are so pleased we could support Kingston Hospital in their time of need by providing this donation. It’s been great to visit today to see the positive impact of this Tranquil Space and meet the people who provide the care and support the patients deserve. Well done to all those involved in delivering this initiative.”

Signature at Coombe Hill Manor Client Liaison Managers Mark and Monika added:
“The work Kingston Hospital does to assist patients and the wider community is second to none, so we are delighted to offer our support here. As we go into a new year, we hope to partner with Kingston Hospital for other fundraising and volunteer events.”
