Westgate Healthcare Welcomes Head of People

Westgate Healthcare is thrilled to announce the appointment of Emma Norris as Head of People. With 16 years of HR experience in the care sector and a CIPD Level 7 Masters qualification, Emma’s return to Westgate marks a significant homecoming for someone who began her career with the organisation and now returns to lead its people strategy.

Emma first joined Westgate Healthcare as an HR Administrator at St Pauls Care Centre, quickly progressing to a group-wide role at Head Office as HR Support. Following a house move, she transitioned to Hampden Hall Care Centre, where she became HR Office Manager.

In 2018, with a desire to further her career and take on new challenges, Emma made the difficult decision to leave Westgate due to a lack of senior opportunities at the time. She went on to gain valuable experience in a more senior role at another care provider, further honing her expertise and leadership skills.

When the opportunity arose in 2024 to re-join Westgate Healthcare as Head of People, Emma knew it was a chance she couldn’t pass up. “I was thrilled to be offered the chance to return to Westgate, the company that gave me my start in HR. It truly feels like coming home,” she shared.

Reflecting on her decision, Emma added: “Knowing Westgate’s ethos and what the company stands for, I knew it was the perfect fit for me. Its commitment to excellence and to its people aligns perfectly with my own values. I’m excited to make a meaningful difference here and to give back to the organisation that played such a key role in shaping my career.”
