Scarborough Home Raises Over £400 Following Spring Fair

MHA Priceholme took advantage of the nice weather and arranged a spring fair where they managed to raise £420.00 in total.

The home’s garden area and summer lodge was the venue where more than 40 people including staff and residents were present.

Typical fair activities including tombola, a raffle and guess how many sweets in the jar took place.

The home provides residential care for up to 32 people and will use the funds for their amenities, which goes towards arranging trips and activities for residents.

George Robinson, activities coordinator said:
“The spring fair went really well and it was a good day for all.

“The residents had a lovely time, the weather was warm and we had a good amount of support from family members and the local community.

“The fair was on for two hours and to reach the amount we did is a great effort from everyone

“We had a local artist bring in her artwork and also show off some of the work our residents had done, which was well received.

“Aside from this, we had the Birds of Prey come to visit and brought with them a range of birds which the residents thoroughly enjoyed.

“In terms of what the money will be used for, it’s entirely up to the residents, but we are very happy with the outcome and want to thank everyone for their support.”
