Sandstone Care Supports Cheshire Golf Day To Raise More Than £8,000 For Local Charities
Sandstone Care was the main sponsor of a highly successful charity golf day held at Eaton Golf Club, Cheshire, which raised an impressive £8,152.83 for two deserving causes: Samaritans South Cheshire and the RNLI.
The charities were personally chosen by club captains, Andrew Ramsey and Pamela Banks, who led the day’s fundraising efforts. The total amount raised will be split equally between the two charities, helping to support their vital work both locally and nationally.
Despite a wet start, the weather improved throughout the day, allowing players to enjoy a competitive round of golf under afternoon sunshine. Among those taking part were Sandstone Care directors Ben Challinor and James Parkin, with James’ team securing an excellent third-place finish.
In addition to the golf, guests were treated to a full English breakfast ahead of tee-off, followed by a celebratory dinner before the evening’s charity auction. The auction and accompanying raffle were major highlights, with a fantastic range of prizes and lots generously donated. These included a horse racing training experience, a round of golf at the world-famous Gleneagles, and a signed England Rugby shirt, all of which helped contribute to the fundraising total.
During the day, players also enjoyed refreshments at the halfway house, kindly hosted by players’ partners and members of the Sandstone Care team, adding to the friendly and community-spirited atmosphere.
Speaking on behalf of Sandstone Care, director Ben Challinor said:
“We were delighted to support such a wonderful event and are thrilled with the amount raised for two outstanding charities. Days like this not only bring people together but also make a real difference to organisations who rely on public generosity. Huge thanks go to everyone who took part, donated prizes, and contributed to the success of the day.”
