Penarth Home Hosts Very Successful Summer Fayre and Raises Thousands

A Penarth home held their annual summer fayre and managed to raise thousands in the process.

MHA Morel Court invited the local community into the home and raised a whooping £2177.00.

The day was packed full of activities, refreshments and stalls including a book, sweets, and clothing stall.

Throughout the day there was a steady stream of people attending, with around 90 people visiting in total.

The funds raised will go towards homes amenities fund, and they are already planning a day trip to Barry Island for all residents and staff.

Mandy Jenkins, administration manager said: “The summer fayre was very successful, and we are very proud of the support shown to us by the community.

“We had plenty of family members of our residents who came and supported us along with staff and volunteers.

“It was a great event, the weather was lovely which is always a bonus, and everyone had a great time.

“To raise the amount, we did in just over five hours is very special and we can’t thank everyone enough.

“We received some amazing feedback from visitors who appreciated the hard work that had gone into making the fayre a success.

“The funds raised will go towards a day trip to Barry Island on the 15th of July and we are all looking forward to that trip.

“On behalf of everyone at the home, I want to thank each and every one who supported the fayre and we genuinely appreciate it.”
