Nurseplus Team Complete 20-mile Trek for Charity

Nurse-Plus-EastbourneEnthusiastic ramblers from Nurseplus’ Eastbourne branch completed a 20-mile walk to Lewes recently, raising £500 for its chosen charity partner, Leonard Cheshire.

A team of five staff members from the healthcare recruitment company trekked from the office to the market town, passing landmarks such as the Long Man of Wilmington on the South Downs on the way.

Kayleigh Neale, Branch Manager at Nurseplus Eastbourne, commented: “It felt fantastic to complete the challenge and it’s extremely fulfilling to know that we’ve raised money for such a worthy cause.

“The donation will enable Leonard Cheshire service users to live and work independently, whatever their ability. We’re pleased that we can make a positive difference to someone’s life and we look forward to taking part in more charity initiatives for Leonard Cheshire.”

Leonard Cheshire Disability is a charity supporting disabled people in the UK and around the world to fulfil their potential and live the lives they choose.

Nurseplus was established in 2005 by a group of experienced healthcare and recruitment experts. Since then the company has grown rapidly and provides homecare and nursing agency services, with 60 branches across the UK.
