Leeds Care Home Given A New Look
Leeds-based Hopton Court Care Centre, which is operated by Care Living, has been given a new look to freshen up the home’s surroundings for residents.
As part of the work, the home has had new patio doors installed and there has been enhancements to the bathrooms and bedrooms.
Residents have chosen the colour schemes for their bedrooms, including wallpaper for a feature wall and soft furnishings.
Based on Hopton Mews in Armley, Hopton Court is a purpose built care home that provides care for elderly residents with dementia. The home has 45 en-suite bedrooms, four lounges, two dining rooms, a friend and relatives’ room and a secure patio area and garden for residents and their visitors to enjoy.
Teresa Taylor, Manager at Hopton Court Care Centre, said: “The environment of a care home is really important to the well-being of the residents, so we wanted to enhance the surroundings to make it a more comfortable and inviting home for everyone.
“The residents have been involved throughout the re-decoration process and made decisions about their own personal spaces as it is essential they are given choices, helping them to maintain a degree of independence and feel a valued part of the community at Hopton Court.”
