Homecare’s Got Talent Returns for 2026 – Inviting Care Workers Across the UK to Take Centre Stage

Cue the music, raise the curtain and get ready for a show bursting with heart – because Homecare’s Got Talent (HCGT) is back for 2026, and it’s bigger, brighter and more unmissable than ever. The nationwide competition is once again calling on care workers from across the UK to step into the spotlight and showcase their hidden talents – celebrating the creativity, confidence and individuality of those working at the heart of homecare.

Open to anyone working in the sector, HCGT is more than just a talent show – it’s a celebration of the people behind care. From shower singers and dancefloor legends to natural comedians and unexpected hidden talents, it gives care professionals the opportunity to take centre stage, soak up the atmosphere and maybe even steal the show.

After an incredible 2025 that had audiences hooked, the excitement around HCGT is growing. Last year’s grand final video smashed past one million views on YouTube, turning the competition into a viral hit and capturing the nation’s imagination, while the HCGT Choir – made up of contestants from the 2024 and 2025 competitions – released a powerful charity cover of Angels by Robbie Williams in aid of The Care Workers Charity. The track climbed into the UK charts in a bid for Christmas no.1, shining a well-deserved national spotlight on the people behind care.

Last year’s winner, Will Anderson, a Home Instead carer originally from Australia, showed exactly what can happen when you take a chance. His unforgettable performance of Heartbreak Hotel, complete with didgeridoo, had judges wide-eyed and audiences completely won over – earning him the 2025 title and a dream all-inclusive escape to sunny Spain. Now, the stage is set for a new name in lights.

Auditions are open until 31st May, with successful entrants progressing to the semi-finals in June, before the competition builds to a show-stopping grand final on 7th August, where one standout performer will be crowned the next HCGT champion.

Bringing the sparkle – and a few tough decisions – is a star-studded judging panel, with Bucks Fizz legends Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston returning alongside radio presenter Becky Measures and Married At First Sight star Matt Jameson. Joining them this year is TV presenter Hayley Palmer, with more familiar faces still to be revealed.

Dan Archer, UK CEO of Visiting Angels, the homecare company behind the initiative, said: “We’re excited – HCGT is going to be bigger and better than ever. Each year, we’re blown away by the passion, creativity and confidence of the people working across homecare. This competition is all about shining a spotlight on that talent, bringing the sector together and giving those who spend their lives caring for others a chance to take centre stage themselves.”

He added: “From chart success to viral moments, HCGT is proving just how much talent exists within the care sector – and we’re only just getting started.”

HCGT 2026 is proudly supported by its headline sponsors, with gold sponsors Lottie, Invoca and VCCM leading the way, alongside silver sponsors Aquatime, Jelly Drops, Supportis, SM92, Mobility Hire and the British Franchise Association, whose backing is helping to bring this year’s competition to life and amplify the voices of care professionals across the UK.

The competition is also backed by a wide network of corporate supporters from across the homecare sector, including Care Your Way, Percurra, Right at Home, Bluebird Care, Promedica24, the Homecare Association, Caremark, Radfield Home Care, CCH Group, Home Instead, Apollo Care, Heritage Healthcare, Walfinch and Visiting Angels, all encouraging carers across their teams to step forward and get involved.

Entering couldn’t be easier – carers can simply send a short audition video via WhatsApp to 07510 928923. For care providers, organisations and brands interested in sponsoring the event or getting involved please find more information at www.homecaresgottalent.co.uk
