HC-One Win Tees Valley Football Tournament In Aid Of Raising Funds For Dementia UK
HC-One’s Darlington Support Office team have raised over £620 for Dementia UK after winning a Tees Valley football tournament in Teesside.
The tournament, which was held on Thursday, March 21 at Goals in Teesside, Middlesbrough, saw HC-One play a series of five-a-side charity football games alongside 24 other companies operating within the Teesside area.
Eight colleagues, who are based at the HC-One Support Office, located on Archer Street in Darlington, laced up their football boots to play in the games.
This included:

- Jamie Stallard – HR Onboarding Team Leader
- Josh Archer – Payroll Administrator
- Ross Watson – Senior Product Manager
- Josh Marriner – HR Onboarding Administrator
- Nathan Gilbert – HR Onboarding Administrator
- Dan Martin – Senior Payroll Administrator
- Reece Swalwell – HR Helpdesk Administrator
The event involved some fantastic teams, but HC-One battled it out and ended up winning the ‘Europa League Final’ and qualifying for the National Finals, which will take place in Leeds. The Europa League win for HC-One helped raise an additional £150 for the chosen charity.
Business Fives published on their website: “At our Tees Valley Football Tournament, there will be a £350 charity donation made to the Champions League Winners and £150 donation to the Europa League winners, and £100 donation to the Europa Conference League Winner.”
The team also managed to raise another pot of donations for Dementia UK on a ‘Go Fund Me’ page. The donations made currently stands at £620, which completely exceeded the initial target of £200. In total, the team have helped raise over £620 for the charity, with more expected to come in over the next few weeks.

Team Captain, Caithan Leighton, stated: “It was fitting for us to play for Dementia UK, because of the work our colleagues do, day in and day out to support residents with dementia, so this is a charity that is very close to all of our hearts.
“I am very proud to have taken part in the Tees Valley Football Tournament, and even more proud at how much we raised for this fantastic charity!”
