Hartlepool Care Home Hosts Remembrance Day Service
Soap Star And Territorial Army Will Lead Staff And Residents In Remembering The Fallen
Residents and staff at a Hartlepool care home will be honouring those who lost their lives during the First and Second World War by holding a memorial service on Monday 10th November.
Queens Meadow, on Stockton Road in Hartlepool, will lay wreaths and hold a minutes silence to commemorate the individuals who fought for their country in battle.
Former Emmerdale star Dale Meeks will be performing songs from World War I and II as part of the ceremony, helping residents to remember and pay their respects to those they loved and lost during that time.
Members of the Territorial Army will also be attending the event, which is taking place from 1:30pm at the home and is open to staff, residents, family and friends as well as members of the local community.
Debbie Wilkes, Activities Co-ordinator at Queens Meadow, said: “It is always important for us to remember those who died in their line of duty, especially as many of our residents were alive during the Second World War and lost loved ones themselves.
“Everyone is welcome to come and join us in our day of remembrance, to honour and celebrate those who lost their lives.”
The Remembrance Day Service will take place from 1:30pm on Monday 10 November. For further information please contact Queens Meadow care home on 01429 267 424.
