Hallmark Care Homes Team Raise Thousands for Alzheimer’s Society Through 26-Mile Walk

Team members from multi-award-winning care provider, Hallmark Care Homes have raised more than £8,900 with a 26-mile charity walk.

37 team members from the family-run care provider took part in the difficult trek around London on Saturday to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The participants, which included Hallmark’s Managing Director, Aneurin Brown decided to take on the Trek26 walk for the dementia charity after experiencing dementia first hand within their roles.

Aneurin Brown said:
“We are absolutely delighted to have raised this tremendous amount. Dementia affects the people we care for everyday in our roles, and it feels amazing to give back to a charity that does so much to support both people living with and caring for someone living with dementia during our 25th year. I’m incredibly proud of my team for completing this gruelling challenge and for all of their fundraising efforts to date.”

Nick O’Donohue, Alzheimer’s Society Area Manager, said:
“We would like to thank all 37 of the Hallmark Care Homes employees who took part in Trek26 for us. Money raised will help Alzheimer’s Society reach and support more people through our vital services, which have been a lifeline for so many people living in London.

“We’re calling on people from across the capital to go the distance and don their boots for a Trek26 challenge in 2022. Every pound raised will help Alzheimer’s Society provide crucial information and support, improve care, fund research and create lasting change for people affected by the condition.

“We are in awe of the resilience of supporters like the Hallmark Care Homes team, whose dedication to fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society ensures that we are able to support those who need it most.”
