Anisha Grange Care Home in Billericay has become the third Hallmark care home to receive an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission.
The health watchdog gave the residential, nursing and dementia home the maximum overall rating putting it in a small percentage of care homes across the country to achieve this high standard.
The report praised the home for their ‘exceptional and distinctive leadership’ and out of five key areas reviewed, two of the five were rated ‘Outstanding’ whilst the others were rated as ‘Good.’
The home was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in the areas of ‘responsive’ and ‘well led’ ‘and ‘Good’ for its service being ‘safe,’ ‘effective’ and ‘caring.’
The planned inspection took place on 22nd January and the report that was published on 2nd April said: “People provided glowing feedback about the service and care team.
“People were supported to have as much choice and control over their lives and were supported in the least restrictive way possible.
“An inclusive and caring ethos was evident throughout the organisation which was strongly promoted by the management team and provider and shared by the care home team.”
One resident was also quoted in the report, they said: “I can honestly say I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else than here; I know I am safe and well looked after.”
