Exeter Care Specialist Appointed to Lead Penhayes House
A care professional with two decades of experience supporting both adults and children has been appointed as manager at Penhayes House in Kenton, Exeter, part of Salutem Care and Education.
Exeter-born Will Cornish will oversee the specialist residential service supporting young adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex care needs.
Located in Kenton near Exeter, Penhayes House provides support within four self-contained flats and delivers person-centred care through Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), total communication and active support approaches.
Will brings 20 years of experience in the care sector and says he is looking forward to building strong relationships with colleagues, families and the people supported at the service.
He said: “I am incredibly proud to have joined Penhayes House and Salutem Care and Education. Having been born and raised in Exeter, it means a great deal to work within a service supporting people in my local community.
“My first few days at Salutem have been filled with meeting the smiling faces of staff and the people being supported, both at Penhayes House and neighbouring Penhayes. I have already received great mentorship and guidance and am really looking forward to sharing my expertise, establishing new relationships and striving for positive outcomes.
“I have worked within the care sector for 20 years supporting both adults and children, and I remain passionate about helping individuals live fulfilling and meaningful lives.”
