Employees Given A Louder Voice

Virginia Perkins, head of HR at the Springhill GroupA new initiative has been set up to give employees of a Lancashire-based care group a bigger say in the way the organisation is run.

Employee Voice has been created by the Springhill Care Group, which operates three care homes and a supported living service, to increase engagement between all members of staff and senior management.

Staff will be given the chance to submit thoughts and suggestions on a range of issues relating to the way the homes are run via a confidential feedback form.

Once a month, nominated members from each department will meet to present and discuss the collective feedback.

One member will also get the chance to attend the Springhill Care Group’s monthly board meeting, to represent and be a voice for staff.

Ginny Perkins, head of human resources for the Springhill Group, said: “Staff are our most valuable resource, and we want to provide them with an effective way to put across their views on how our services operate.

“Employee Voice is the perfect platform for this, allowing us to consult a broad range of employees and properly reflect their views, to fully benefit our residents and workforce.”
