The National Care Home Open Day (NCHOD) will take place on 20 June 2014.
The National Care Forum (NCF) are excited to announce that the NCHOD in 2014 will be a global event! Care homes in Australia, South Africa and Malta will be joining the 4 countries of the UK.
EAHSA will be joining the National Care Forum (UK), Aged and Community Services (Australia), South Africa and CareMalta, in encouraging all its members to hold an Open Day on 20 June. All you need to do is hold an event on Friday 20 June and invite your local community to attend. It could be as simple as holding a morning tea, or combining it with a market day. It is time to show people what caring is all about.
By registering you will receive updates about what other organisations are doing in Australia, South Africa, Malta and UK. Build friendships, change long-held perceptions and have a fantastic day that will enrich lives!
The ACC-TV will be hosting a Live TV Event in preparation for the global open day, which will have Sylvie Silver, NAPA Director, talking to people about the successful things they did last year. ACC-TV have dedicated teams and offices in the UK and Australia and are delighted to be able support the global learning community with these Live TV events.
On the 15 May you will also hear from Des Kelly OBE, NCF Executive Director, about some very important changes to the CQC inspection process, and how care homes will receive a quality rating as part of the new Care Bill. For further details visit
