Cygnet Service Named Finalist In Housing With Care Awards

A Hertfordshire residential service which supports adults with learning disabilities has been named a finalist in the inaugural Housing with Care Awards.

Chaseways, a Cygnet Social Care service, have been named finalists in the awards which recognise and celebrate excellence in accommodation and services for integrated retirement communities, people with learning disabilities and people with mental health problems. The team were nominated by registered manager, Sherry Packard.

The Awards ceremony will take place on 9 June with some of the team attending at the Marriott Hotel on London’s Grosvenor Square.

Sherry said: “I nominated my team for all their hard work and commitment to the service and giving gold star, person-centred care. This is the first time Chaseways has ever been nominated for an award.”

Sherry, who started at Chaseways when she joined Cygnet Social Care in April 2020, has worked in care for almost 20 years. She added: “The team are brilliant. They work together, support each other, they’re worth their weight in gold. The unit wouldn’t be where it is if not for them.”

Chaseways is nominated in the Care Team Award category which will be presented to the team who are able to best demonstrate a shared vision and agreed goals.
