Cooper House Care Home in Wibsey, Bradford, is celebrating an incredible evening of success after receiving multiple honours at the Strong Life Care Awards 2026, recognising the dedication, leadership and compassion shown throughout the home.

The home proudly collected Home Management Team of the Year, while team members Iram Kauser and Nicola Walker were also recognised individually as Nurse of the Year and Admin of the Year, respectively.

The awards reflect a significant period of positive development at Cooper House, where residents, families and colleagues have all spoken about the improvements in culture, communication, leadership and day-to-day life within the service.

The Home Management Team of the Year award was presented to Home Manager Vicky Taylor, Deputy Manager Uzair Ali and Regional Manager Dorota Piechowiak. Together, the leadership team was praised for creating a supportive and professional environment where staff feel listened to, residents feel valued and families feel reassured.

Nominations described the team as approachable, caring and highly effective, with many highlighting improved morale, stronger teamwork and a renewed sense of confidence across the home. One nomination referred to the leadership trio as a “dream team” who consistently go above and beyond for both residents and colleagues.

Iram Kauser’s Nurse of the Year award recognised her professionalism, clinical knowledge and calm, compassionate approach to care. Colleagues praised her dedication to residents and the reassurance she provides to both families and fellow team members every day.
Meanwhile, Nicola Walker was recognised as Admin of the Year for the enormous support she provides behind the scenes.

Having stepped confidently into her administration role, Nicola was praised for her organisation, reliability and open-door approach, with nominations describing her as “simply irreplaceable”.

Strong Life Care said the awards highlight the strength of the entire Cooper House team and the positive culture being built within the home through teamwork, accountability, kindness and shared ambition.

The organisation added that the recognition reflects not only operational improvements, but the genuine care and commitment shown by the people behind them every single day.
