Colleagues at Bath Care Home take on Gruelling Challenge and Raise Over £1600
Four colleagues at a Bath home were joined by two family members as they took on the Tough Mudder challenge and managed to raise over £1600.
Jake Grant, Louise Gascoigne, Anne Head and Camellia Ebert all work for MHA Stratton House and took part in the Tough Mudder challenge held at the Badminton Estate in South Gloucestershire on the 15th of August.
Jake’s brother Luca and Anne’s daughter Olivia also joined them and between them they managed to not only complete the challenge but raise a total of £1692.50 for the home.
Tough Mudder creates hardcore obstacle courses in either a 5k or 15k format designed to test your all-around strength, stamina, and mental grit.
MHA Stratton House offers residential care for 33 residents.
Louise, who works as an activity coordinator said: “ This was the second time I took part in the challenge and just like last year it was great to be a part of.
“Due to the weather being very hot across the country the course was a lot drier this year.
“The Tough Mudder is great for team building and one thing that I like about it is that it’s not a race and you do get plenty of support.
“The atmosphere throughout the challenge was great and we were always supporting one another.
“To raise the money we did is fantastic and will go a long way in supporting our residents.
“The plan is to arrange some trips and activities, and we will look to start planning some very soon.
“I want to thank each and every one who took part, and also those who donated to our cause, it’s highly appreciated.”
