Cherry Hinton Care Home and Kingsway Golf Centre Unite to Fulfil Resident’s Golf Wish
Cherry Hinton Care Home recently made a wish come true and brought immeasurable joy to one of its cherished residents. Carole, an avid golf enthusiast, expressed a heartfelt desire to play one last round of golf, and thanks to the unwavering dedication and compassion of the care home’s staff, her wish became a reality.
Carole’s wish came to the attention of Barry, the Maintenance Manager at Cherry Hinton Care Home, who also happens to be an ardent golfer. Barry, touched by Carole’s dream, took it upon himself to make her golfing dream come true. Determined to ensure Carole’s happiness, Barry reached out to the esteemed Kingsway Golf Centre in Cambridge, known for its commitment to community engagement and support.
The response from Kingsway Golf Centre was overwhelming. In a wonderful display of generosity and kindness, they graciously offered Carole a complimentary round of golf. This act of goodwill displayed the spirit of camaraderie and compassion that exists within the Cambridge community.
On Tuesday 21st June, amidst an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation, Carole, accompanied by Home Manager Shelly and carer Leon, embarked on a truly unforgettable day at Kingsway Golf Centre. As Carole stepped onto the green, her face radiated with joy, and her gratitude overflowed for the fulfilment of her cherished wish.
