Chef of the Year Award for Luke at Hampshire Care Awards
The Head Chef at Woodside Lodge Residential Care Home in Bransgore has won Chef of the Year in the Hampshire Care Association awards held on Thursday 20th June 2024, the awards are to recognise the amazing efforts of those working in the care sector in Hampshire over the past 12 months.
As Head Chef, Luke Bale, works in partnership with his kitchen staff and the care staff at Woodside Lodge to deliver delicious and nutritious meals that look appetising to residents dealing with the complications of dementia while managing to balance their complex health needs.
Resident Janet said “Luke cooks wonderful food for us, his roast potatoes are the best. He’s so friendly and always goes the extra mile to help us”
The Registered manager for Woodside Lodge has said “We are all so proud of Luke, he truly deserves this recognition for his hard work, he dedicates so much of his own time to chatting with our residents and making sure his menus are just right for each individual”.
Luke has been with Woodside Lodge for nearly 10 years, his speciality is rice pudding! It goes down a storm with residents and staff alike!
