Charity Donates Chocolates To Care Home Residents
DOZENS of boxes of chocolates have been donated to care home residents and staff by charity Al-Imdaad Foundation UK.
The Bolton branch of the international aid relief and development organisation brought the Milk Tray chocolates to Lever Edge Care Home.
They handed them out to the home’s elderly residents during a visit, when they also spent time chatting and sharing stories.
The charitable group made a video of their visit, which is the second to the home, and is has since been viewed hundreds of times on YouTube.
Karen McMahon is the home manager at Lever Edge Care Home, on Lever Edge Lane, in Great Lever, Bolton.
She said: “The Al-Imdaad Foundation UK has been into the home on many occasions and we’re grateful they continue to visit.
“This time they brought chocolates for everyone, which brought a lot of smiles to the staff and residents’ faces.”
Salim Mulla, fundraising and project coordinator for the Al-Imdaad Foundation in Bolton, said: “I was welcomed into the home and felt it was a very warm, friendly and inviting place.
“We want to work together with the care home to make a positive difference to the residents’ lives.”
