Care Home Open Day 2020
Care homes up and down the country are preparing for Care Home Open Day on 26 June for what will be the eighth year in a row.
The theme this year is music which encompasses all manner of music, arts, innovation and technology. Care Home Open Day is bursting with ideas as to how to mark the occasion brimming with links to music organisations. There is something for everyone allowing care homes to get creative on a small or big scale.
Care homes offer so much these days, did you know that almost 44% of care homes have pubs, or private drinking facility in them? Many more have in house choirs, art galleries, post offices, hairdressers and much more, all open to the public.
Hilary Woodhead, Executive Director at National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) says:
“Care Home Open Day is the perfect opportunity to make friends with a local care home. I think that many people will be amazed at what’s on offer; every home and every day is different. Come and find out for yourself on 26 June”.
Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive of Care England, says:
