Bournemouth Care Home Wins Award For Embracing Digital Technology

Muscliff Care Home in Bournemouth has come out on top at the Dorset Care Association’s Care Awards 2024 and was named as the winner of the ‘Digital Innovator’ accolade.

The Award, which recognises individuals or organisations who are using digital technologies to drive positive change and innovation within the care sector, was presented to the nurse-led care home team at a special ceremony on 26th April at the George Albert Hotel in Dorchester.

The Dorset Care Awards celebrate the extraordinary achievements within the care sector and ones which deliver incredible outcomes. With Muscliff Care Home’s operating systems now completely digitalised, the Bournemouth care home was revealed as the winner.

Staff at the home are now experts in the use of digital systems, and Dedrey Charles, Muscliff Care Home’s Home Manager, said: “We have been going through an ambitious digital transformation over the last few years, and have implemented new ways of doing things that is overhauling our delivery of care.

“We’re delighted to be embracing new technology. Our new digital ways of working save us all a lot of time and bring huge benefits to our staff and residents.”

Muscliff Care Home is part of AgeCare, an experienced care home operator, and Head of Nursing, Sara Gallagher, said:
