Billy’s Hard Day’s Walk Raises Funds For Care Home Residents

billBilly Johnson, a Carer at Cross Park House in Brixham, recently thought to himself ‘My longest working shift is 13 hours, I wonder how many miles I could walk in that time?’ And so, on Sunday 16th October, he set out to do just that! Billy completed 42 miles – walking, running and jogging in fancy dress and raised £1,300 in sponsorship for the residents of Cross Park, Brixham, owned by the Stonehaven Care Group, who run Care homes throughout the South West.

Fifty-one-year-old Billy is married to Karen Johnson, who waited 13 hours for Billy to complete his charity walk. Karen also works at Cross Park House, with Billy, they both live in Brixham and have 4 children.

This was a wonderful gesture by Billy and the money raised will be spent on entertainment for the Cross Park residents, who are all very grateful to Billy for his fantastic effort.
