Belong Villages Reaccredited for ‘Gold Standard’ End-of-Life Care

Two of Belong’s pioneering care villages, Belong Warrington and Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme, have been awarded the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award for their exceptional standard of end-of-life care, with both of the dementia specialist’s villages achieving the prestigious Platinum rating.

Both villages achieved a perfect score in their reaccreditation. Belong Warrington was noted in the GSF report as having a “deeply embedded culture of compassion and respect”, and it commended the quality of dementia care as being a “particular strength”.

In Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme’s report, staff were praised for the high level of compassion and support they provide for residents and their families, especially in their final days. It noted how staff prioritise “comfort and dignity,” and always strive to ensure residents’ wishes are heard and acted upon, supporting them and their families in their final moments and beyond.
