Basingstoke Care Provider Hartford Care Celebrates Team at Annual Awards Ceremony

Hartford Care hosted its annual staff awards ceremony last week, to celebrate its valued and hardworking team members from its Basingstoke-based central support office and its care homes across England and Wales. The event, held at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton, had awards on offer in categories recognising and rewarding exceptional care, innovation and specialist areas of expertise including estates management, catering and resident activities.

Residents, family members, visitors and team members across the company’s homes, as well as the team from central support, voted for their winners by filling in a nomination form. Once all votes were collected, the directors at central support had the tough job of choosing the winners from all the nominations and comments provided.

Dozens of positive comments were received to support the nominees, including the Basingstoke-based Central Support team, with Learning and Development Administrator Mia Unadkat winning the Best Newcomer trophy.

Gemma Melhuish, People and Cultures Director at Hartford Care, said: “Since joining the People and Culture team, Mia has quickly become an invaluable asset. In a short space of time, she has demonstrated exceptional dedication, initiative and a genuine drive to make a difference. Mia has played a key role in streamlining processes and improving efficiency and has been a constant source of support for Home Managers, always ready to guide and assist. Her positivity and willingness to help has made a lasting impact across the organisation. Mia truly embodies the Hartford Care values. She is a standout newcomer and a very deserving recipient of this recognition.”
