Argentum Lodge Appoints Award-Winning Care Home Manager

Argentum Lodge, a 56-bed care home in Nailsea, near Bristol in Somerset has appointed Jessica Hawker as care home manager.   Jessica has over 15 years’ experience working within the care home sector in a variety of roles across residential, nursing, dementia and specialist mental health services.

Jessica is passionate about enhancing the lives of the residents she looks after and her outstanding care has been acknowledged through a number of industry awards including the Dementia Carer of the Year Award at The South West Great British Care Awards and Care Team of the Year at the South West Care Awards.  The previous care home she managed was also awarded the Gold Standards Framework for end-of-life care.

Jessica started working in care homes as a care assistant at the age of 18, progressing to deputy and then care home manager for a number of homes.  Her deep understanding of the sector also led to her working as a turnaround manager for several care homes where she quickly and successfully improved the quality and standards of care.

Jessica Hawker said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to be Argentum Lodge’s new care home manager.  It is a warm and welcoming home where residents are happy and well-looked after.

“I am committed to ensuring that all residents are provided with first class care that is truly holistic and person centered.  Residents at Argentum Lodge will be treated with dignity and respect and our goal is to provide the best quality of life possible for each individual.”
