A Care Home In Colne Has Been Awarded The Second Highest Rating Possible After An Inspection By The Healthcare Watchdog
Belvedere Manor care home in Gibfield Road was inspected and awarded ‘Good’ in all areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The report highlights that clients and staff had developed positive and caring relationships and that privacy and dignity was respected. The inspector found that Belvedere Manor operated by Silk Healthcare was well-led, responsive, caring, safe and effective.
Belvedere Manor opened its doors to residents early 2015. The home is about half a mile from Colne town centre, set in beautiful grounds with a luxurious home from home atmosphere.
Home Manager, Joanne Shapcott said “We are delighted Belvedere Manor has received recognition from the CQC for the high standard of support the team delivers. I am proud that we have such a skilled and dedicated team who are passionate about supporting our residents to live full, happy & independent lives.”
Director, Christine Walters said “We are committed to delivering high quality care and never losing sight of the fact we can always do more. Our staff always go the extra mile for their residents, trips to Blackpool, local theatres and shopping are part of daily life at Belvedere.”
Inspections of care homes have been a hot topic recently and operators and carers all have an important part to play. Silk Healthcare, owner and operator of Belvedere Manor has three other care homes, and all have been awarded ‘Good’ in all their recent inspections. One Silk Healthcare home, Reuben Manor, was awarded ‘Outstanding for Care’ by CQC on its last inspection.
