Visiting Booth Arrives At Lancashire Care Home

A new visiting booth has been put in place so that families can visit Residents once again at HC-One’s Westleigh Lodge in Leigh.

Relatives can now visit the pod for a safe face-to-face chat with Residents at the home.

The pod follows all infection control measures and the home is working very closely with Public Health England to ensure that everyone stays safe.

Money was raised last year which enabled Site Maintenance Officer, Gabi, to build the pod.

For many care home Residents, their only contact with family is through phone calls or video chat so having the new visiting booth has boosted morale and raised spirits throughout Westleigh Lodge.

Colleagues at the home have worked extremely hard over the past year to ensure all Residents are safe and happy and they are delighted to have the opportunity to resume family visits.

Westleigh Lodge Home Manager, Christina Dale, commented: “Residents can now see their families safely and relatives have been very impressed with the visiting booth.”
