Twice As Outstanding!

Avery Healthcare have recently received their first two ‘Outstanding’ reports from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for its Acacia Lodge Care Home in Manchester and Ashurst Mews Care Home in Northampton. Avery is a countrywide care home operator with 56 services with more in build.

Acacia Lodge was the first home in Avery’s portfolio to achieve the Outstanding Overall rating from the CQC. Their report featured residents comments who spoke highly of Home Manager, Joanna Roberts. “The registered manager is caring and professional. We get to talk to her whenever we want”, “I think the manager is wonderful.” and “I know the manager knows everybody and comes around regularly. You can raise anything with her.”

Joanna has managed Acacia Lodge for five years and led the team to this well-earned result. “I am absolutely delighted to receive an ‘Outstanding’ CQC report and proud of all the team who work so hard to ensure the residents receive outstanding care; it means so much to everyone within our community.”

The Ashurst Mews report also featured quotes such as: “You do feel safe, and there’s plenty of staff about.”, “The staff are very nice, sweet and helpful.” And “I cannot think of anything I’d like different. I’m very happy here and would give it 110% thumbs up.”

Ashurst Mews Manager, Rex Pudol is overwhelmed with their result. “We are so pleased with the Outstanding rating from CQC and I’m elated because this is my very first inspection as a home manager. This recognition means we are meeting the highest standards set by the Regulator and testament to the first class care we provide for our lovely residents.”
