Three Kent Care Homes Achieve Prestigious National Accreditation For Excellence In End-Of-Life Care

Three Kent care homes, all part of family-run group Nellsar, have proudly achieved the coveted Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award – national recognition for delivering outstanding, compassionate end-of-life care.

Bromley Park Care Centre in Bromley, Loose Valley Care Centre in Maidstone and Meyer House Care Centre in Erith have each successfully completed the rigorous GSF accreditation assessment, earning the benchmark award which lasts for the next three years.

The Gold Standards Framework is the UK’s leading training and accreditation programme for care homes, focusing on quality of life for people nearing the end of life. The scheme enables teams to deliver personalised, coordinated care with dignity, compassion and respect – providing peace of mind to both residents and their families.

Speaking about the achievement, Glenda Osmotherly, Director of Operations at Nellsar, said:

She worked closely with our Clinical Leads to ensure they not only completed but truly understood the importance of the Gold Standards Framework. Her support was invaluable in helping a busy home like ours stay focused on the goals, and both in the lead-up to and on the day of inspection, she was an exceptional source of support. We are so grateful for her contribution.”
