The NACC Friday Morning Kitchen Is Back!

As part of this must-attend training forum for care caterers and based on The National Association of Care Catering (NACC)’s version of ‘Ready Steady Cook’ Vs ‘Saturday Morning Kitchen’ chefs from the NACC will focus on creating a selection of mood enhancing ‘plant-based’ recipes that will be accompanied by a range of delicious gluten-free dishes.

Louise Wagstaffe
Director, Delicious by Design

Louise is a culinary entrepreneur and experienced chef, with over three decades of experience of the food industry. She is currently Chef-Director at Delicious By Design, established in 2009.

She works with major manufacturers to support schools and Healthcare.

In 2021, the Craft Guild of Chefs named Louise as one of 44 Culinary Heroes, for her extraordinary work during the Covid pandemic.

Louise graduated from University College Birmingham in 1992 with the award as top student of the year. She lives in Buckinghamshire with her husband and two children.

Colin Wheeler-James
Culinary Director, Ground Up Cookery School
European Development Chef, IMCD

Over 30 years as a professional chef has seen Colin work in a variety of different roles from charter yachts and boutique hotels to leading contract catering companies before moving into manufacturing for a leading distributor in the food industry.

Having grown up on a small island in the Inner Hebrides, Colin has always been surrounded by the finest seasonal and foraged ingredients, compelled to make the most of them.

Nigel Barden
Nigel Barden is a food and drink broadcaster, who works on the Simon Mayo Drivetime Show on Greatest Hits Radio and previously on Scala Radio. He was also on air with Simon and Chris Evans, on their Sony Gold award winning BBC Radio 2 shows for 12 years and he’s worked with Robert Elms on BBC Radio London for 25 years.

He specialises in promoting British ingredients and artisan producers, particularly in his role as chairman of judges for The Great Taste Awards, Farm Shop & Deli Awards, World Cheese Awards, British Cookery School Awards, Deliciously Yorkshire and host of the National Fish & Chip and Ice Cream Alliance Awards. Nigel hosts the Chef Demo Stages at Tom Kerridge’s ‘Pub in the Park’ festivals in Marlow, Bath, Leeds, Knutsford, Chiswick, Warwick, Tunbridge Wells & St Albans.
