The London Children’s Ballet Comes to Local Care Home
Residents and staff at Magnolia Court care home in Golders Green experienced an afternoon of joy when The London Children’s Ballet came to visit.
London Children’s Ballet was founded in 1994 to give talented young dancers a unique opportunity to perform as part of a professional ballet production. In 2003 the LCB2 Touring Company was formed in order to bring the performances to those who may be unable to attend a theatre performance.
Residents at Magnolia Court were blown away by The L C B performance of The Little Princess, as they were danced through the emotive story of Sara and clapped at Sara’s good fortune at the end of the story. Tammie and Henna from the Life Enrichment team along with hospitality team provided a spread of sweet and savoury treats for everyone to enjoy after the show.
General Manager, Octavian Stanciu said, “Our residents had a wonderful day they were mesmerised by the wonderful performers. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Magnolia Court as part of the life enrichment programme for residents, and are always keen to bring live performances to our lovely home!”
Ann White, residents at Magnolia Court said “The Children were so professional and delightful. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to see them again!”
