The Hawthorns Clevedon Raises Over £1,000 for Weston Hospicecare

The Hawthorns Clevedon have raised an impressive £1,203.42 in support of its Charity of the Year 2025, Weston Hospicecare. This fantastic total reflects months of enthusiasm, teamwork and heartfelt generosity from residents, colleagues, families and friends.

Weston Hospicecare provides free expert care to people with a life-limiting illness in North Somerset and parts of Somerset.

Throughout the year, the home has hosted a variety of fundraising events in partnership with Weston Hospicecare. Coffee mornings, garden parties, festive celebrations and the popular Christmas Bazaar all played a part in bringing people together in a spirit of warmth, laughter and shared purpose.

Aggie Jasinski, Client Liaison Manager at the Hawthorns Clevedon, expressed her appreciation for the partnership,
“We have had a fantastic time hosting a range of wonderful fundraising events alongside Weston Hospicecare fundraisers Darran and Maisey. Every event was filled with warmth, laughter, and community spirit.”

Alison Bryant, General Manager at the Hawthorns Clevedon, also shared her gratitude,
“We are incredibly grateful for the fantastic success of our fundraising campaign for Weston Hospicecare. The level of involvement from our residents, team members, and the wider community was truly wonderful. We are delighted to have been able to support such an amazing charity.”

“A big thank you to the Hawthorns Clevedon for their support throughout the year. With only around 20% of our funding coming from the Government, it’s thanks to our generous local community that we are able to continue giving free, specialist palliative care to local people, and we are so grateful to the Hawthorns Clevedon for their fundraising to help us do so.”
